inForney.com Rules and Guidelines

The following categories of behavior and conduct are unacceptable on inForney.com and constitute a violation of our "Rules and Guidelines" which may result in warning, suspension or permanent ban of membership.

Discrimination: Our community has a very diverse membership, and with that comes a wide range of views and opinions.  We will not tolerate any form of discrimination, including but not limited to; religion, race, sex, political bias, etc.

Personal Information: Do not post another members personal information anywhere on inForney.com without there consent.  NOTE:  inForney.com is accessible all over the world wide web, when you post your personal information it will be viewed by anyone visiting or attempting to visit inForney.com.  DO NOT post your personal information if you do not want it viewable.  There are privacy settings in your personal profiles if you would like to restrict access to your personal information, you are still responsible for the information you post.

Harassment: Harassing or bullying of other members is very serious and will not be tolerated.  This includes using derogatory terms when referring to another member and also "trolling"  other members post and constantly attacking and posting negative remarks to another member.  This category is also bound to the ratings and reviews of local businesses in our forums and explained in more detail in Section 2.1 below.

Illegal or Prohibited Content: Do not display or post any illegal or prohibited material on inForney.com or other inForney.com services, including but not limited to; inForney.com's Chatterbox, Private Message system, Forums or any other form of communication.  The posting of such content will be removed and appropriate action taken.  

Sexually Explicit Material: Do not post or display any sexually explicit material on inForney.com or other inForney.com's services, including but not limited to;  inForney.com's Chatterbox, Private Message system, Forums, Community Avatars, Community Picture albums or videos.  The posting of such content will be removed and appropriate action taken.  

Copyright Infringement: Do not post any copyrighted material on any inForney related service.  By posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting your Submission you warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your Submission as described in this section including, without limitation, all the rights necessary for you to provide, post, upload, input or submit the Submissions.  Submissions include any interaction between a user of inForney.com and the use of inForney.com services;  inForney.com's Chatterbox, Private Message system, Forums, Community Avatars, Community Picture albums or videos.

Spamming: Spamming will not be tolerated on any of inForney.com's service including but not limited to;  inForney.com's Chatterbox, Private Message system, Forums, Community Avatars, Community Picture albums or videos.  Spammed or identical threads in the forum will be merged or deleted.  Absolutely no commercial spamming of services or products.  See also Section 2.2 for appropriate commercial use of inForney.com.

Hacking: Do not attempt to hack the board or other users.  This includes guessing another user's password in attempts to log-in under their profile.

Profanity: Do not post profanity in any public communication channels, including but not limited to; inForney.com's Chatterbox, Forums, Profile details or status updates(public or private).  Private Messages (PM) are subject to user consent, however this is limited to the Rules and Guidelines, i.e., no harassing.  Post will be deleted or censored.  A censored 'emoticon' is available in the forums to help portray the context of a conversation but cannot serve as a form of harassment or discrimination, this image is also bound to the Rules and Guidelines and must not manipulate the Rules and Guidelines.

Solicitation: inForney.com has provided a For Sale/Wanted section in the Forums that is intended for non-commercial use.  For commercial use of the Forums please see Section 2.2 Commercial use of inForney.com. To protect this future entity no forum signatures, other profile details or status updates are to comply with this rule.  Discussing or resolving issues any local business have with a rating or rant in the forums is acceptable, i.e., exchange of services or products to resolve a complaint or issue.  The previous statement is recommended to be settled over private message (PM), and not necessarily bound to the forums.  See Section 2.2 for commercial use of inForney.com.

The Rules and Guidelines are subject to change without notice and will be updated in a timely fashion.

Section 2.1 Local Business Reviews:  Continuous harassment or defamation of local businesses will not be tolerated.  All reviews on local businesses are bound by these Rules and Guidelines.  Sensible and respectful reviews are the only acceptable forms of review on inForney.com, this is not excluding negative reviews and we would like to make it clear that negative reviews are OK to post but are in a very "grey area".  Simply put, if a negative review is necessary, state your review in accordance with the Rules and Guidelines, if the R&G's are infringed the post will be deleted AND accompanied by a private message (PM) asking the user to please re-post a post that follows the Rules and Guidelines.

Section 2.2 Commercial use of inForney.com: Our local advertisers help keep inForney.com running for the community. If you are a business owner please keep this in mind, this is our business.  Please visit our Advertising Page for details on how you can advertise here on inForney.com.  inForney.com is not liable for faulty service or products of its sponsors.

If you are not a current advertiser please read below for acceptable uses of inForney.com:

Profile Usage:  You may create an account with your business name, BUT NOT your website url.  You may list your business website in your profile details.  You cannot use the PM(personal messaging) system to send other users messages regarding your business or products UNLESS responding to another users question or PM, abusing the PM system will be an immediate suspension of your account.  You may place status updates like any other user BUT you may not post items or services for sale.

Forums Usage:  You can reply to topics about your business, you may not suggest your service as an answer or reply to a topic.  You can not place any of your business information in your Forum Signature.  Please see our Advertising Page for details on how to add your business information to your Forum Signature.
