Derek Cha and his wife Annah Kim started SweetFrog in 2009 and now have over 100 stores in 17 different states. The nicely decorated Forney shop has a pink and green color scheme and of course a frog as their mascot. According to Mr. Cha, FROG actually stands for “Fully Rely On God.” The SweetFrog website explains it this way, “SweetFrog was founded on the principles of Christianity and our belief in bringing happiness and a positive attitude into the lives of our consumers.”
There is inside seating for about 25-30 people at the shop, but currently no outside seating is available. Three of us from inForney.com went to the opening day of SweetFrog and happily tried out the yogurt and toppings. Customers are charged by the weight of the yogurt and toppings, and the three of us ate 25.6 ounces of yogurt total, at a cost of $10.80. A really terrific tasting dessert for a very reasonable price.
We were told that they have so many yogurt flavors available that they switch some of them out day to day. You can expect to choose from delicious flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, cake batter, raspberry, strawberry, banana, coconut, pineapple, cookies and cream, cheese cake, and peanut butter. The yogurt is available in low fat and sugar free, so if you are trying to watch your waistline, choose wisely! For as many frozen yogurt flavors available at SweetFrog, there are three times as many choices for toppings. Nuts, candies, fruits, hot sauces, and cold sauces such as caramel, chocolate and marshmallow are all available to top off your yogurt. Make sure you get the SweetFrog punch card, for every 10 purchases you make you will get a free small frozen yogurt.
