Forney teen arrested for burglary and theft

Terrell Texas, - On August 15, 2012 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Kaufman County deputies responded to a call regarding a burglary and a theft that had occurred at a business in the 6000 block of N. FM 148.

The victim told deputies that sometime between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. that someone had broken into his business and taken checks, tools, cash and several cell phones, as well as a 2007 Dodge 3500 truck, all valued at over $22,000.00. After receiving a tip about the stolen truck, deputies were able to quickly locate the suspects involved in the burglary, along with the stolen truck.

As the investigation progressed, investigators were able to locate an estimated $22,803.00 in stolen property at the residence of one of the suspects. Arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building and Theft were Stephen Lee Hilborn II, 17, of Terrell, and Jeffrey Mark Rice, 17, of Forney. Hilborn was also charged with Possession or Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia. Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center where bond is set at $10,000.00 for Rice and $10,500.00 for Hilborn.
