Forney Police Dept: Bank of America robbery update Featured

Official release from the Forney Police Department in regards to the Bank of America robbery.

On Friday, May 18th, 2012, at around 10:13 am, Forney Police Officers were dispatched to an aggravated robbery in progress at the local Bank of America located in the 100 block of US HWY 80. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the suspects fled the scene, heading west on US Hwy 80 towards Mesquite. Officers confirmed everyone was alright inside the bank and gathered witness statements from eyewitnesses.

The suspects were described as two males wearing ski masks, gray sweatshirt / hoodies and jeans. Both suspects brandished weapons during the robbery. The vehicle was described as an older model dark colored Dodge Durango.

If anyone was in the area around the time of this incident that may have seen a person or persons leaving the area that matches the description of the suspects, possibly seen any vehicles leaving the area around that time, or have witnessed any similar type of incident, please contact the Forney Police Criminal Investigations Department at 972-564-7600.
