Trick-or-Treating will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. for all age groups. Children ages 13 and older will head over to the Spellman Amphitheater at 8 p.m. to enjoy a haunted movie in the park. (Note: The movie will be rated PG-13) Similar to last year, there will be a costume contest for all age groups thoughout the night. Radio Disney will make an appearance to announce costume contest winners, provide entertainment, and some giveaways.
Food vendors, sponsor booths requiring any sort of registration, and sponsor booths with raffle set-ups will be placed throughout the soccer complex in an effort to ease the congestion seen at last year's Trail of Treats. The Forney Soccer Association Concession stands will also be open for the night.
In addition to the costume contest there will be a booth-decorating contest for the Candy Station sponsors. Due to spacing limitations, the Candy Stations will be limited to 100. Thirty minutes prior to the event, there will be a Candy Station decorating contest and winners will recieve ribbons.
To become a sponsor, see the sponsorship form below or, for more information, contact Dodie Witt with the Parks Department by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phone at 972-564-7326. All entries must be submitted by October 12th. Candy Station sponsors are asked to ONLY hand out candy, and you may attach your business information to the candy but not do anything that will hold up the line. Also, because this is a free event, they are asking that nothing be sold or any donations requested at the Candy Stations.
