On April 28 and 29, an impressive 33 teams converged on Mulberry Park in Forney, Texas, for the Battle at the Park USSSA Tournament hosted by the Forney Youth Baseball Association (FYBA). Because of near perfect weather conditions, bats cracking on home-run hits and cheering parents could be heard across the park.

The Forney Youth Baseball Association (FYBA) held its Opening Day Ceremonies for the first time since switching from Little League Baseball to the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). The memorable league change was accompanied by a memorable first pitch on Saturday morning, April 13, 2013.

It was a cold and windy day at Forney Community Park for Metro East Softball Association's Opening Day ceremonies on April 6, 2013. According to MESA President Jeff Fudge, there were nearly 35 teams, out of approximately 53 teams in the league, present for the ceremonies.

Armani Watts is only a junior at North Forney High School, but already he knows how it feels to be wanted. The standout three sport athlete has received multiple scholarship offers to play football in college, and earlier this month he decided that the right school for him is Texas A&M University. He gave them a verbal commitment to become a part of their 2014 recruitment class and intends to sign a letter of intent next February.

North Forney High School's MaKayla Durham won the 4A State Championship in powerlifting at the state meet on March 15, 2013. The state meet was held in Corpus Christi, Texas.

All season, competitive swimmers from Forney High School and North Forney High School have been shattering personal records and even school records. The District swim meet in Rockwall on Saturday, January 26, was no exception.

The Pride Football Club out of Forney already has a National Championship under their belts, and now they can boast that one of their players was chosen to play in the Junior Rank Academic All-American game that took place January 4, 2013 in Carson, California.
