In August, 2012, the Forney Independent School District (FISD) solicited two Requests for Proposals (RFP) for an exclusive photographer for athletic and non-athletic events. Typically an RFP is only solicited when the contract exceeds the threshold amount of $50,000, which is required by Texas State legislation. However, according to the district, currently they are not exceeding the threshold amount in photography services.

There were a lot of smiles at the June 4, 2012 Forney ISD School Board meeting. It was a night to celebrate the swearing in of new school board members Mike White and Heath Carroll and to recognize some of the districts outstanding athletes. The board also voted on who their President, Vice President and Secretary would be for the 2012-2013 school year.

On Thursday, April 26, 2012, the North Forney High School Theater was host to the candidates running for the FISD Schol Board, as well as three of the candidates running for a spot on the Forney City Council. A crowd of over 100 people showed up to hear the thoughts and opinions of each person running for office.

The much anticipated Forney Candidates Night will be this Thursday, April 26^th, at 6:30 p.m. This special event will be located in the Performing Arts Theater of North Forney High School located at 6170 North Mason Blvd.
