TERRELL, TX — Mark your calendars and load up for a day of friendly fire for a worthy cause. The 3rd Annual Charity Clay Shoot hosted by Speed Fab-Crete in partnership with Genesis Center North Texas is set for May 30, 2025, at the Texas Gun Ranch, located at 15950 State Highway 205 just outside Terrell.
More than just a day at the range, this charitable shoot combines community, competition, and compassion—raising vital funds for a local organization dedicated to helping women and children escape crisis and rebuild their lives. Last year’s event saw tremendous community support, and the impact was undeniable.
Thanks to donor generosity in 2024, Genesis Center North Texas was able to enhance its shelter with new security fencing and an automatic gate, provide free counseling to residents and their children, pay for vehicle repairs, and even update essential equipment and property infrastructure. The result? Safer spaces, more dignity, and renewed hope for families in transition.
This year’s fundraising goals are equally ambitious and deeply practical: replacing an aging AC unit in the thrift store, adding commercial dishwashers and updating the kitchen, expanding the playground, and outfitting residents with new outdoor furniture. “It is partnerships with the community that help sustain the mission and ministry of Genesis Center North Texas. An event such as this is just one way to meet the financial needs of the program, so we can continue what God has instilled in us: to help and walk alongside the residents during their year of transformation” said Executive Director Amanda Lewis.
The event begins with registration at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon, safety instructions at 12:30, and a prompt 1:00 p.m. competition kickoff. The day wraps up at 4:00 p.m. with dinner, a program, awards, a silent auction, and raffle drawings.
For those who can’t attend, raffle donations are also being accepted—and every contribution goes directly to improving the Genesis Center’s facilities and services.Â
