The Costco Fuel Facility, located at 140 FM 460, Forney, TX 75126, will likely drive fuel prices down a few pennies in the immediate area. Local residents are concerned about the trade-off between price and the increase in traffic.
The construction was officially registered on November 4, 2024.
Construction was slated to begin a few weeks ago on February 3rd, 2025, with an anticipated completion date of June 26, 2026. The total estimated cost for the new fuel facility is approximately $3,489,487.
The design for the new facility is being handled by MG2 Architecture Corporation, based in Seattle, Washington. This project will encompass a total area of 11,852 square feet, including a canopy, systems kiosk, and associated work for underground storage tanks.
Costco Wholesale Corporation, headquartered in Issaquah, Washington, is the owner of the project.
As the community anticipates the opening of this new facility, residents are optimistic about the convenience and fuel savings that Costco's entrance into Forney will provide while worried about the new bridge and road expansions necessary to keep up with all of the growth.
