Tom Thumb Aggravated Robbery Suspect Apprehended

Forney, TX - On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the Forney Police Department SWAT Team, alongside the Criminal Investigation Division and the Kaufman County Street Crimes Unit, executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 300 block of S. Chestnut Street in Forney. The suspect, 26-year-old Landre Gilbert, was taken into custody without incident.

Forney, TX - On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the Forney Police Department SWAT Team, alongside the Criminal Investigation Division and the Kaufman County Street Crimes Unit, executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 300 block of S. Chestnut Street in Forney. The suspect, 26-year-old Landre Gilbert, was taken into custody without incident.

Gilbert faces charges of First Degree Aggravated Robbery following an incident that occurred on March 2, 2025, at the Tom Thumb supermarket. During the robbery, Gilbert brandished a handgun at employees who attempted to stop him as he exited the store. It was later determined that the handgun was a BB gun. At the time of the offense, Gilbert was on parole for drug-related charges. Currently, he is awaiting arraignment and possible additional charges.
